It's March!! After a couple months off, we get to start the meetings again!
Legislative Day was successful again this year with over 1000 attending from all over the state! Our group was down a little, but I'm confident that next year will be better. We are just a busy group of people!!
Our March 10th meeting will be at the Lincoln County Health Department at 10 a.m. The program this month will be on the Holocaust by Dana Humphrey. We hope to follow that up with a caper to the Holocaust museum in St. Louis.
The food pantry is Troy. I don't have a needs list, but cash always works nicely. As always, we will donate to Buddy Bags. We are planning on eating out at Backroads in Hawk Point after the meeting.
MRTA will have a MRTA night at the Cardinals on June 5th. Tickets are $20. Maybe we can take a bunch from Lincoln County?
Club dates to note...
- The next Book Club meeting is March 24th. We are reading Can't Wait to Get to Heaven by Fannie Flagg.
- The next Craft Club meeting will be April 5th at Anne B.'s house at 10 a.m. We will be finishing up on our flannel baby blankets for the Crisis Nursery and starting a new project, pillowcases. If you still want to donate material or money toward baby blankets, please give Debby S. your donation. We (figured each blanket cost approximately $10 to make.) If you would like to donate for the pillowcases, one yard each of two contrasting patterns makes 2 pillow cases.
Hope to see you March 10th!
