Our Unit President Linda McGlothlin and Vice President Clarissa Sydnor attended the MRTA Unit President Summit March 10-11 in Jefferson City. They learned lots of great information and ideas to help make this year fun and exciting! While there, they got to meet Dan Meers aka KC Wolf, mascot of the KC Chiefs. Dan has been the KC mascot for the past 30 years!

The group heard lots of speakers during motivational workshops including MRTA Executive Director Jim Kreider.
One very important item discussed at the Summit was the discontinuing association with Forrest T. Jones and Company for insurance and other benefits. MRTA announced they have a new benefit provider Association Member Benefits Advisors (AMBA). AMBA will make our membership more valuable with nationwide discounts and programs.
Please be on the look-out in your mailbox very soon as all retired public school employees will be receiving letters explaining the change.
